Built at the beginning of XIIIe century and completely restored with the medium of XVIe, the Castle of Landreville, located in the Argonne area of Ardennes, is a charming rectangular "strong house" flanked by four circular turns of angle to pepper plantations, surrounded by water running ditches, of a park of six hectares, commun runs and of two “Pavillon” houses. Today property of the Renault family, it is a rare example still practically intact of a dwelling seigneuriale Ardennaise from the rebirth age. This is also 800 years of history, of dramas and joys, which were shared by the lord families of Landreville, Beauvais, Maillart, Meixmoron...
This presentation, takes again here the whole of the data now available in general public, we are thus perfectly conscious that it extremely incomplete and is certainly “truffé” of errors. This said, with time, we will try to revise it, using our own research of course, but also with the support of all those which would have the kindness to make us share their knowledge on this subject.
Thank you.
